1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use Photomesh. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the App, we may collect the following types of information:

2.1 Information you provide directly

• Account details such as name, email address, or profile information (if applicable).
• Data you enter into the App as part of its core functionality.
• Support messages or other communications you send to us.

2.2 Automatically collected information

When you use the App, certain data may be collected automatically, such as:

• Basic device information (device model, operating system version).
• App usage data (screens viewed, features used, crash logs).

This information is generally collected in an anonymized or aggregated form and does not directly identify you.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for purposes such as:

• Providing and maintaining the App’s core features.
• Improving the App’s performance, stability, and user experience.
• Responding to your requests, questions, or support inquiries.
• Analyzing usage patterns to plan future features or improvements.
• Complying with legal obligations, if required.

4. Third-Party Services

Photomesh uses a small number of third-party services to operate the App, to understand how it is used, and to show advertising. These services may receive information from your device as part of providing their services, and their handling of that information is governed by their own privacy policies.

• Google Firebase Analytics — usage and feature statistics, recorded against a random app-instance identifier rather than your name.
• Google Firebase Crashlytics — crash and error diagnostics.
• Google AdMob, with Meta Audience Network as a mediation partner — advertising shown inside the App.
• Apple App Store — subscriptions and in-app purchases. We never see or store your payment details.
• Google, Microsoft, Dropbox and Box — only if you choose to connect one of those accounts. See Section 5.

4.1 Advertising

Advertising in Photomesh is served by Google AdMob with Meta Audience Network as a mediation partner. These networks may use device and advertising identifiers to select and measure the ads you see. They do not receive your photos, your file names, or any content from your connected cloud accounts.

4.2 What is sent to analytics

The analytics events Photomesh records describe how the App is used, not what is in your photos: which screens you open, which providers you connect, how many items a folder contained, whether a purchase succeeded, and a description of the error when something fails. The contents of your photos are never included.

5. Cloud Accounts You Connect

Photomesh can connect to Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, Dropbox and Box. Connecting an account is always your choice, and the App works without connecting any.

For each account you connect, Photomesh requests read-only access. It reads file metadata — names, folders, sizes, image dimensions, capture dates and content hashes — so that it can identify your photos and place them in a single gallery sorted by capture date, and it reads file contents for the photos and videos you open, download or save.

This information is processed on your device and stored on your device, in a local index and a local thumbnail cache. Photomesh operates no server that receives your cloud files, and their contents are never transmitted to us.

Photomesh never creates, modifies, renames, moves or deletes anything in a connected cloud account.

Disconnecting an account inside the App deletes that account’s indexed data and cached thumbnails from your device. You can also revoke access from the provider’s own account settings at any time.

5.1 Google Drive and Google user data

When you connect a Google account, Photomesh requests the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.readonly scope. This is the narrowest scope that allows the App to list your files and display your photos and videos, because Google Drive provides no way to request photos only, and no way to sort by capture date on the server.

Google user data obtained through this scope is used solely to display your photos and videos inside Photomesh on your device. It is never sold. It is never used for advertising. It is never used to develop, improve or train generalised artificial intelligence or machine-learning models. It is not shared with any third party, except as strictly necessary to transfer the data between Google and your device at your request, or where required by law.

You can revoke Photomesh’s access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, or by disconnecting the account inside the App.

Photomesh’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

6. Data Storage and Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

We retain your information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to access, update, or delete your data.

You can contact us to:

• Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Request deletion of your personal information, where applicable.

9. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can delete it.

10. International Users

If you access the App from outside your country of residence, your information may be transferred to and processed in other countries. By using the App, you consent to such transfers, subject to applicable law.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated Policy.
